Beginners and Social Dancer GROUP Classes:
These classes are designed for people who know nothing about dancing as well as the Social Dancer who would like to learn a dance, brush up on a particular dance, or simply add new steps to what they already know.

Salsa starts Tuesday Sept. 7, at 5:30p.m. (4 weeks)
Rumba starts Tuesday Sept. 7, 7:00p.m. (4 weeks)
QUICKSTEP starts WEDNESDAY Sept. 8, 7:00 p.m. (4 weeks) Note: This class is for everyone. We will start with the basics first.

FUN!: The Classes are taught in a fun, easy, and friendly atmosphere. We believe learning to dance should always be something to look forward to.
REPETITION: All classes last for a 4 week session, concentrating on one dance with repetition being the key to actually learning the dance and its steps. In other words, all patterns starting with the basics first will be repeated in each and every class throughout the 4 week session. New patterns will only be added after a review of all patterns previously introduced. Beginners are advised to start when a new four week session begins. Your number one goal is to get the basics first. Remember, repetition is the key to establishing Muscle Memory which is the most proven method of learning how to dance.
COST: All classes are $7 per person per class. No Pre-registration, or Pre-Payments for the 4 week session, JUST PAY AS YOU GO. Cash and checks are accepted. If paying by check please make payable to LOD. Sorry, No Credit Cards. Thank you.
ATTIRE: It is always casual, however you should wear shoes that allow you freedom of movement. Also the Vero Beach Community Center is always kept at a cool 70 degrees.
ARRIVAL: Upon arrival, you will need to sign in at our check in table located at the entrance to the building. Please keep in mind that all classes will start promptly at the scheduled time.
GROUP CLASS SCHEDULE: Each class is one hour in length. Most of our Beginners, Newcomers, and Social Dancer Group Classes are held on Tuesday evenings at the Vero Beach Community Center. One class is held at 5:30 p.m. and another held at 7:00 p.m.To find out what dance is being taught or coming up see the CALENDAR SCHEDULE. These classes run for 4 week sessions.
MUSIC: Practice music is played 15 minutes prior to lesson time and 15 minutes during the lesson.
CLASS CANCELLATION, TROPICAL STORM, HURRICANE: However rare, some classes may be cancelled due to nature such as power failure and storms. If there is a Tropical Storm Watch issued for our area all dances and classes will be held as scheduled. If a Tropical Storm Warning, Hurricane Watch or Warning is issued all classes and dances will be cancelled until we are given the all clear. Due to the schedule there are no make up times for classes that are cancelled.
CHILDREN: Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or an adult at all times while in class.
Advanced GROUP Classes for Advanced Dancers
These classes are designed for those of you who are already familiar with the dance and its basic movements. These classes are $7 per person per class and are held on Wednesday evenings at the Vero Beach Community Center at 7:00p.m. To find out the Advanced Group Class Schedule please see the CALENDAR SCHEDULE. These classes run for 6 week sessions. Cash and Checks accepted. Sorry, no credit cards.
QUICKSTEP Classes start Wednesday Sept.8. at 7:00p.m. (4 Weeks). This class is for newcomers and advanced dancers.
